Safelists for Business

Safelists for Business?  Do they make any sense?

Safelists for business promotion, like banner ads, still work.  The fact is, you won’t find more targeted advertising than either.safelists for business

Safelists for business have to be used with care.  In many – no most – cases, the people on the list will have opened a separate email account just for the list.  Gmail is the platform of choice, since it will take almost unlimited mail.

So what happens?  Yep.  They don’t get checked often, and when they do, it’s usually to dump everything as a maintenance measure.  That means, of course, that your promotion went nowhere.

But that’s not always true.  Many safeflists now incentivize the opening of mail.  That usually means they get credits for clicking on a link inside the email.  That link opens a browser page, which is required to stay open for a certain period of time to get the points.

Like banner ads, or click through, or surfing websites, most ads get ignored.  So why recommend using safelists for business?

The biggest online money makers of all use safelists.  They also have built some really huge mailing lists.  Safelists were part of their strategy to do that.  So were banners.  So they keep using both.

You see, if you do a little work to be a little different from the crowd, you stand out.  So see what everybody else is doing.  Study each safelist.  Then be different.  Use a different headline.  If it uses the credit system, make the webpage a real eye-popper.  Somebody is going to check it out, and a few will buy.

Numbers count.  You need to send out often, and you need to track what you send, to see what works and what doesn’t.

When using safelists for business, you need to know your market, too.  You probably won’t sell many horses on a safelist.  But your market is filled with people looking for ways to make money or promote their business.  It’s a huge market!
